New Style Salon: prepaid chairs ended hold-and-vanish bookings
Customers would book the best stylist for Saturday, then vanish — while walk-ins were turned away from a "reserved" chair.
The problem
Bookings lived in a diary next to the billing counter. Popular stylists were double-booked, no-shows held chairs hostage on the busiest days, and back-to-back services (cut + colour) were guesswork on timing.
What changed with Pathiv
- Every chair and stylist became a bookable calendar with photo and profile.
- Customers pick their stylist and book back-to-back services in one flow.
- Prepayment holds the seat — deposits collected at booking via NameSpark Pay.
- The salon's Instagram bio links to its own booking page via the embed widget.
The result
- Saturday chair utilisation went up while walk-in turn-aways went down.
- Hold-and-vanish bookings effectively disappeared — unpaid holds simply expire.
- Stylists see their exact day in the staff app; the diary is retired.
